GEDCOM & HTML - Files explained
Build your web site and display your family tree Genealogy software:
- Convert your family tree into a GEDCOM file. Generally your genealogy software can do this (try file/convert or file/backup)
- Convert your new GEDCOM file into html, which is code for web pages, that will display your tree in a logical & linkable manner. We used the freeware version of GED2WEB Highly recommended.
- After GED2WEB has created your html pages, simply import/export them into your web site.
